Valentine's Day Card

Valentine’s Day Pinata


  • Heart shaped balloon
  • Newspaper cut into strips
  • Paper mache
  • Candy toys to add to the pinata


1. Blow up the heart shaped balloon.

2. Dip newspaper into paper mache mixture and wrap around the balloon. Cover all areas and leave the bottom of the balloon open to insert goodies.

3. Set aside to dry.

4. Once fully dried, pop balloon and remove from pinata.

5. Paint pinata, insert candies and tape bottom.

6. Hang up and enjoy watching the kids break it open to retrieve the hidden treats


**Use as a fun idea at a kid’s birthday party.

Valentine’s Day Card Box


  • Tissue box
  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue and tape


1. Make the opening of the box larger by cutting around it.

2. Wrap the box up in red construction paper and tape up.

3. Cutout different heart shapes and glue to the box.


3D Heart


  • Construction paper
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Glitter


1. Fold construction paper in half and draw a heart on the fold.

2. Cutout and repeat for a total of 3 hearts.

3. Lay one of the hearts open with the fold, right side up to use as your guide.

4. Apply glue to this entire top surface of the heart.

5. Secure the ribbon on the glue, along the fold line of the heart.

6. With a second heart folded, line up the fold of this heart along the fold line of the open heart.

7. Repeat this with the final heart on the opposite side of the open heart. Apply pressure.

8. Open up the two folded hearts and glue the sides of these hearts together.

9. Decorate with glitter and hang.

Heart Shaped Butterfly


  • 2-pieces of construction paper
  • Pom-poms
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Craft spoon


1. Fold construction paper in half and draw a heart on the fold.

2. Cutout and repeat.

3. The hearts are the wings of the butterfly. Glue the tips of the hearts to each other.

4. Cut a small piece of pipe cleaner, fold in half and make a small circle at the folded end. Curve the tips of the pipe cleaner. Now glue this round end to the hearts at the top for the antennas.

5. Place four-five pom-poms in a line and glue together to form the body.

6. Glue the antenna to the bottom of the first pom-pom.

7. Make a small hole in the top and bottom of the craft spoon big enough to thread string or wire through. Glue the body of the butterfly to the spoon.

8. Decorate the wings.

9. Once the butterfly is completely dried, thread one piece of string through the top hole and a second through the bottom hole. Make sure it is long enough to drape from the ceiling. Tie all pieces together and hang.
