| Have you ever been in search of themes for your kids' birthday, activities and games to entertain the guests? I have and it gets tougher all the time. I love fun and new ideas for birthdays and hate boredom and lack of interest experienced by the guests whether they are two or 102. Kids parties I find are the hardest of all. They are always on the run and looking for something more to do even before they finish the first activity. Every birthday, for me, is different and never to be repeated. Last year at my daughter's 4th birthday, we did a craft party. We bought little canvas bags at a craft store and decorated them will all different types of paint, glitter and used glue pens. We began this project first thing because the idea behind it was that they were to be their take home party bag filled with goodies. Our lunch meal was simple with hot dogs rolled in crescent rolls but over all it was a fun time. This year, we had a princess party, as most young girls want. We made princess hats for the girls and kings' crown for the boys. The kings' crown were pre-cut before the party began. We continued with face painting after the hats were decorated, to take home, my daughter and I made personal gifts for the guests. A clown theme was my second choice for this years party but maybe we will give that a try for my son's birthday next year. This idea involved face painting, tattoos, and different gag gifts to pull out of a hat to take home. I thought the kids could take a try at learning magic tricks. I love parties and I love trying to come up with new ideas for them. I would enjoy hearing about your parties that you had put together and welcome ideas that we could share.
